TKT Preparation course

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is a test that focuses on the teaching knowledge needed by teachers of primary, secondary, or adult learners of English, anywhere in the world.  TKT preparation course will provide the valuable knowledge, skills, and techniques required to pass the Cambridge TKT and help you build a successful and rewarding career as a teacher of English. Our TKT preparation course covers the content of the three modules of TKT Test.

Course Content:  

Module 1: Language and background to language learning and teaching

• Describing language and language skills (grammar / phonology/ four language skills)
• Background to language learning and teaching (error correction/learner needs/learning styles/approaches to language teaching/ assessment types)
• Practice test and feedback

Module 2: Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching

• Planning and preparing a lesson or sequence of lessons (lesson objectives/ choosing activities/lesson steps)
• Selection and use of resources (selection of materials and activities/use of teaching aids)
• Practice test and feedback

Module 3: Managing the teaching and learning process

• Teachers’ and Learners’ language in the classroom (appropriate classroom language/language functions/ types of errors)
• Classroom management (teacher roles/ grouping students/ giving feedback)
• Practice test and feedback

Course duration :  3 weeks – 5 days/week – 5 hours/day

• Module 1 : 24 Hours
• Module 2 : 15 Hours
• Module 3 : 15 Hours
